EX rank supporting role’s replay in a prestigious school - Chapter 832
Eunho finished speaking quietly.
It might seem like a regular conversation between a respected teacher and an exemplary student, but there was as much tension as the swordfight earlier this morning.
‘I don’t know Gong Cheonghwon as the most courageous person, but he went into the abandoned factory on his own and dealt with the service company during the orphanage incident.’
Although Gong Cheonghwon is a very good player, the examples given by Eunho made me wonder if the former really solved them alone.
It was so extreme that it was difficult to believe that it was done by a teacher who had such a warm smile and had a voice as sonorous as rolling jade.
With an undisturbed smile, Gong Cheonghwon answered,
“Technically, it happened while I was taking a walk.”
“The eyewitness accounts make it seem like you had a determined destination though, Professor. Didn’t you try to solve it on your own?”
“I like to walk wherever my feet take me.”
“Then I’ll accompany you on your next. If it’s just a simple walk, there will be no problem having a student join, right?”
Eunho spoke in a quiet voice.
Perhaps Shinin and Eunho had conversations like this in the distant past.
Strangely enough, the friendly argument taking place here seemed more bloody than when Jeokho hit Baekho-gun.
“The kids in our class are showing great interest in your walks, Professor. Maybe one day, you’ll run into them.”
“Then I need to prepare the trail before we run into each other.”
Whether it was a walk or a regular patrol, Gong Cheonghwon seemed to have no intention of quitting.
However, the Tiger Clan and the association are doing their jobs well, so is there really a need for Gong Cheonghwon to step forward like this?
As if he had the same thoughts, Eunho said,
“Eungwang High is a divine place recorded in the Myth of Gaecheon. The people of royal lineage in this land will step forward.”
“No matter how excellent the people of royal lineage are, there’s no way they can make it on time.”
Eunho paused for a moment.
His expression didn’t falter, but I don’t know what he’s feeling.
As Gong Cheonghwon said, many royal lineages lost their people due to lost time.
After a short silence, Eunho spoke.
“…You have found and dealt with the most dangerous things before anyone else.”
A faint longing was evident in his voice.
I had a feeling that all of Eunho’s gentle nagging was out of concern for Shinin.
Gong Cheonghwon blinked several times as he looked at Eunho.
He looked a little confused, but soon smiled and said,
“That’s too much credit. My intuition isn’t always right. Isn’t that right, Euishin?”
I was used as a diversion.
Instead of answering, I decided to just say hello.
“I’m sorry for the late greeting.”
“You’re polite as ever. Were you waiting for long?”
“Hello, Euishin hyung.”
After that, I was naturally invited to the conversation.
The two began to pour out words to me in unison.
“Maybe it’s because Euishin hyung took your subject, you two are quite similar.”
“I’m curious as to what parts we’re similar.”
“You know it well. It’s about taking risks alone.”
“Did Student Euishin do something dangerous?”
“Quite a lot.”
I should’ve just walked away when I saw those two.
They got along very well like two friends that go back to the mythical ages.
Gong Cheonghwon doesn’t even know Eunho’s real identity.
I was caught between the two and got nagged a lot.
Then, I noticed something.
‘Gong Cheonghwon’s words and his attitude toward the tigers make him seem like Shinin. It’s deja vu.”
I’ve seen Gong Cheonghwon talking to Hwang Jiho and Eunho a few times.
Every time, I felt like Gong Cheonghwon regarded those two in a special way.
‘But Hani is different. She doesn’t seem like she feels anything.’
Hani is calm.
Just as she couldn’t hear anything, there didn’t seem to be anything special when she’s talking to those people of royal lineage.
Even if Hwang Jiho annoys her, even if she’s in close contact with Cheongho’s students who do volunteer work at the orphanage, and even if she runs into people of Tiger Clan.
‘But does Hani really have nothing?’
Just as Gong Cheonghwon seems to have a sense of deja vu upon seeing the Tiger Clan, maybe there’s something that happens with Hani as well.
Their wish was to become human, and it has come true.
But is it just a wish that was fulfilled?
Was that wish completely granted in the first place?
‘The attempt to find Hani’s biological parents ended in vain.’
Hwang Jiho once tried to find them.
It may have been because he felt bad that Hani was abandoned at an orphanage, but he also did it to check her family’s medical history and handle it in advance to avoid complicated problems in the future.
However, despite mobilizing his connections through the Tiger Clan, the Hwangmyeong Group, and the Players’ Association, he couldn’t find Hani’s parents.
He tried to expand the scope and look for people who were at least her blood relatives, but even that failed.
He said that although so much time had passed and there were almost no clues, it was strange that he couldn’t find a single blood relative even though Hani’s genetic information was used.
‘It could be possible if her blood relatives had short lives, but it’s strange.’
The sense of discomfort I felt became greater after I learned Ahn Dain’s secret.
Ahn Dain, a descendant of the Tiger Clan, was born as a human, but as soon as she met the tiger couple, she recognized them as her parents.
Unlike Ahn Dain who had no choice, Cheongho chose to become a human so it’s natural that there would be differences.
Still, many questions remain.
“Your junior is worried about you Euishin, and you seem to have a lot on your mind.”
The thoughts I had been pursuing were interrupted.
I apologized obediently amid the stinging gazes.
“I’m sorry.”
“There seem to be lots of students with a lot on their minds these days. Like Hani.”
Hani’s name was suddenly mentioned.
I tried to hide my surprise and asked,
“Hani?”
“Yes.”
Gong Cheonghwon looked concerned.
He looked at me and Eunho carefully.
“Euishin is Hani’s friend, and Eunha is… I trust you. I think I can say that.”
Eunho was very happy.
It wasn’t noticeable, but the corners of his eyes were bent slightly in a half-moon shape unlike usual.
I had the opportunity to become close to Gong Cheonghwon over the past year, but he’s only spent a short time with Eunho.
Still, Eunho was happy that he was trusted enough to be told a story.
“I had a lot of conversations with Hani sunbaenim while doing activities with the Taehokwon small group. I wish I could help.”
Gong Cheonghwon’s trust seemed to deepen as Eunho spoke so confidently.
With his energy waves slightly showing, Gong Cheonghwon muttered something.
It was the Spiritual Word.
His words took shape and surrounded us.
‘He used words to create a barrier. Is he about to say something important?’
He got straight to the point.
“A superior being has been appearing in Hani’s dreams. Ever since she entered Eungwang High.”
I think I just got a clue to the sense of discomfort and mystery I felt toward Hani.
There was only one superior being that could appear in her dreams.
‘Could Cheonshin be giving Hani a revelation?’
What on earth could he be trying to convey?
Gong Cheonghwon continued,
“The superior being is trying to say something, but it doesn’t seem to be well-conveyed to Hani. That’s why she’s deep in thought a lot.”
“Do you know what kind of superior being it is?”
“I can’t tell yet. But I know that superior being will not harm Hani.”
He couldn’t answer my question, but he spoke with confidence.
“While we were staying at the Taehokwon small group camp, I watched Hani as she slept. There was no negative energy.”
He doesn’t even know what kind of superior being it is, but he trusts and feels confident in it.
There’s only one superior being that Gong Cheonghwon could immediately conclude was harmless.
His father, Cheonshin.
“The superior being is harmless, but those who are hostile to whoever it is might harm Hani. That’s what I’m concerned about.”
I felt like I knew why Gong Cheonghwon shared his concerns.
Since he can’t always be by Hani’s side, he must’ve wanted more eyes keeping a look out for Hani.
Taking his feelings into consideration, I said I’d keep in mind the superior being and would take good care of Hani.
Gong Cheonghwon smiled with relief.
“Thank you, Student Euishin. There was a time when I thought you were a bad student because you were frequently absent, but I was wrong.”
His words stung a lot.
It wasn’t my intention, but I missed a lot of his classes.
I don’t know what will happen next, but I promised to attend his classes faithfully before we parted ways.
When Gong Cheonghwon left, Eunho spoke to me.
“Euishin hyung, do you remember the dream I had?”
I remember that he would always have the same dream back when he was Cheon Sungheon and what he said about it after he became Eunho.
— Cheonshin came to me in another world through a dream. Some boundaries separate every world, but dreams are always connected.
— Do you remember, Euishin hyung? I said I always had the same dream. The one who appeared in that dream was Cheonshin.
A soft smile appeared on Eunho’s face.
He said that Cheonshin tried to help him.
In that case, the same must be happening to Hani now.
‘But if he wants to help, can’t he connect with the tigers at the mansion? If he gives Hwang Jiho a revelation, he’ll help Hani without a doubt.’
But Cheonshin didn’t do that.
Eunho also didn’t seem to have seen Cheonshin in his dreams after gaining awareness as Eunho.
‘It’s difficult to understand how superior beings think. I don’t know if Cheonshin had no choice but to appear in Hani’s dream or if it’s just a whim.’
I don’t understand why the Dragon King showed love and mercy to the shamans, more so Cheonshin whom I had never seen before.
The Tiger Clan only seemed to accept Cheonshin’s actions without trying to understand them too.
Eunho didn’t find this strange either.
“It’s good news that Cheonshin is watching over Cheongho-nim. It would be good to know what he’s trying to convey.”
Eunho seemed optimistic.
Cheonshin actually tried to help him when he was Cheon Sungheon, so it would be natural to think that way.
After walking Eunho to the freshmen building, I asked him something that bothered me a little.
“Are Professor Gong Cheonghwon’s walks okay? You couldn’t finish the conversation because I interrupted earlier.”
“It’s alright.”
Eunho spoke softly.
“Even if I talked to him, I know he wouldn’t stop. He’ll just act carefully because he knows that students are watching. Since I told him about the royal lineage that protects this land, he might also consider asking them for help. He’s a wise man.”
Although Gong Cheonghwon may not admit that he’s doing something dangerous, he seems to know how to take advice.
Perhaps Eunho’s intention was not a simple warning, but rather to change Gong Cheonghwon’s point of view and his courses of action.
It would’ve been good to end the conversation there, but Eunho suddenly turned the arrows at me.
“And he must’ve sensed something when I warned that you do dangerous things. Unlike you, Euishin hyung.”
Eunho concluded before I could say anything.
I tried to make an excuse, but I couldn’t come up with anything.

Thanks for the chapter!!
Haha I love when Eunho is being passive aggressive. Which is pretty much always come to think of it, since Euishin is usually always up to something.
And Gong Cheonghwon will never let Euishin forget his sin of missing his classes
Loved the chapter as always, thanks again translator ❤️

Thanks for the update! Am I late? Well, anyways, poor Euishin. Brought in and collateral damage. But aw man, such words sting, Professor! He was doing Important Things! And he even got you hired! I know he doesn’t know that, but still… Saving the world is a bit more important compared to class! Euishin is never a bad student! He only ever misses class when absolutely necessary, even though if I was him i’d basically drop out cause I’m so busy saving these people who’ll never really know all i’ve done for them… and he still sits through boring lectures?? Amazing! Outstanding! The most dedicated student ever!! …Anyways+1, I really hope we get to see Hani discover herself relatively soon.

Ouch… I was late this time…
but actually I was waiting for it until midnight last night, but nothing came up.
okay I’m done with my excuses.
Thanks for the chapter.
unknowingly, Euishin walked into the middle of two magnets’ “confrontation” and redirected their arrowhead towards him. thus he was roasted by both. lol.
well, the three were all stubborn people so this was bound to happen.
Tho, I wonder if this kinds of bickering did happen on daily basis in their age of myth….
still, one would take the advice discreetly, one would keep their move more secretively, while the last one would just pretend not to hear anything.
We know who’s who anyway.
As for HanYi’s case… would Eunho leak it to other tigers?
