EX rank supporting role’s replay in a prestigious school - Chapter 806
The entire Eungwang High was in a mess from all the mischief on April Fool’s Day.
In the morning, a swarm of fake wasps wreaked havoc in the residential areas.
Wasps aren’t much of a threat to players, but the sound that they made was a problem.
Perhaps because they were wrapped with energy waves, the noise of their wings flapping penetrated the soundproof rooms.
It was impossible to block the noise unless there was a separate boundary.
‘No one was late to school among the dormers.’
There was good news, too.
There were a few real wasps mixed in with the fake wasps, and there was a heartwarming story that the Chairman of Jiikhoe was stupidly stung by a real one.
He wouldn’t have been stung if he used his light skill to create a fog, plus, he would’ve been able to calm the fuss.
The fact that he didn’t think about that was ridiculous and pathetic.
“Isn’t April Fool’s Day this year handled a little late? Maybe it’s because Siwan hyung isn’t here.”
“Gye Idam sunbae looks quite tired these days. Ah, if Dain was here, she would’ve gotten rid of those bugs in no time.”
“Dain lives with her parents now… It’s a shame.”
Of course, the title heroine would never lose to bugs.
The dormitory around Mt. Cheonik is home to a lot of bugs, but Ahn Dain always took the initiative to fight them off.
Ahn Dain served as the hero to the kids scared of bugs that couldn’t be killed by regular sprays.
But now, she’s left the dormitory to stay with her parents as every second and minute of spending time together is valuable for them.
‘The Jiikhoe chairman is untrustworthy on top of that. I’m sure they’re frustrated.’
Meanwhile, some people outside of Eungwang High told futile and immature lies from the morning.
One of them was the head of the Rabbit Clan, Ok Toyeon.
[Ok Toyeon] I won’t watch baseball with you anymore, benefactor. — —
[Ok Toyeon] I watched the opening game alone, and it was so much fun.
[Ok Toyeon] I’m not lying though?
[Ok Toyeon] Why aren’t you replying?
[Ok Toyeon] I said I’m not gonna watch baseball with you anymore!
I thought she’d cause more fuss if I replied.
‘She must’ve been really sad if she’s saying dumb things like this.’
The opening game of the professional baseball league was last weekend, and Ok Toyeon invited me to watch it together.
I, however, had to refuse because I promised to go to the theme park with the tigers.
Ok Toyeon went to the opening game alone and later found out that she missed the chance to go to the amusement park with the descendants.
Only after being told that she can go with the descendants some other time did Ok Toyeon calm down.
Seeing that she sent this kind of message this April 1st, I think she’s still upset.
[Ok Toyeon] …You know it’s April Fool’s today, right?
While I was hesitating, Ok Toyeon sent me another message, afraid that I might take her words seriously.
When I said that I’d watch a game with her sometime, Ok Toyeon let it go with ease.
But then, another stupid message came into my inbox.
[Do Sihoo] You guys are mean! Prepare to die!
What’s Do Sihoo on about?
He sent it in the group chat with me and Yoo Sanghoon.
We created this room without Jang Namwook for something before, and it’s amazing that he still found it even though we hadn’t used it since then.
Yoo Sanghoon saw the message too, but no one replied.
As if satisfied that we at least read his message, Do Sihoo sent another.
[Do Sihoo] So I’ll take care of the cabbage! And the rice too! Hehehe
(T/N: Sigh… How do I translate this… Mean = Radish, Die = Porridge. It’s a corny pun…)
Raddish and cabbage, porridge and rice?
I would’ve hit Do Sihoo subconsciously if he were beside me.
[Yoo Sanghoon] Get lost.
I thought Yoo Sanghoon would ignore him, but he ended up sending a message.
Yoo Sanghoon is in a very volatile state these days.
Although Do Wonwoo and Yoo Sanghee took different undergraduate courses, they’re attending the same university and have been getting close since their first date.
I don’t think they’re in a relationship yet, but people are treating them as the campus couple.
Greatly displeased by this, Yoo Sanghoon gets easily annoyed even with just TC-related advertisements and products.
I get why he’s furious at another Do-ssi kid obsessed with puns.
‘But I hope he doesn’t release stress by playing too many games.’
Yoo Sanghoon is a gamer, but after being selected as a beta-tester for one game, he’s become more engaged in playing.
I was worried, of course, since it’s common for Korean high schoolers to become obsessed with games, causing disruption in their studies.
Unaware of Yoo Sanghoon’s inner feelings, Do Sihoo just reacted sullenly.
[Do Sihoo] Isn’t it funny?
[Do Sihoo] The people I did it to said it was… ㅠㅠ
Who the hell said it was funny.
I don’t know who, but whoever it is, they must be on the same mental wavelength as Do Sihoo.
I guess he sent it to Jang Namwook too.
Anyway, I closed the message and left the dormitory.
I headed to the Central District instead of the sophomore area.
I had business to do here today.
Boom boom! Boom!
I was walking to the central district when I heard a loud boom.
A few party poppers on a day like this isn’t any surprise.
The students walking around the proximity looked at the source of the sound with unimpressed faces.
Several eyes shifted towards the sky where a few huge Professor Jegal’s were floating.
“Our Professor Jegal can’t be contained by this land alone.”
“All of our plans have been on the ground, so now it’s time to head for the skies!”
Floating around was GeumChanWangChan’s group on their airboards.
What they had in their hands was a special-effect item used in air hotels for anniversary events.
Jegal’s face projected through CG in the sky was the work of the seniors.
It was flustering, but I decided to take a picture of my playable character floating in the sky.
He can’t see it in person, but I could use these photos and videos as carrot baits for Hong Gyubin later on.
‘Should we do something like this for Professor Ham Geunhyung too?’
Although it won’t be as grand as these seniors, I think it would be good to do something for Professor Ham on Teacher’s Day.
Though I guess he’d be most pleased if we had perfect attendance.
I walked ahead as the huge image of Jegal floated in the sky, when…
Beep!
I heard an alarm from the speakers throughout the school.
It was the signal to the start of a broadcast.
However, nothing came after the beep sound, only a series of noises.
“What the? They’re supposed to broadcast Jegal-ssaem’s voice. What happened to the kids who went there?”
“Garam isn’t responding. Busy maybe.”
“What… Tell them to hurry!”
Those seniors must’ve bullied the kids from the broadcasting station.
Then, the sound suddenly stopped, but Jegal’s voice still wasn’t heard.
Instead, a different voice was heard.
[Hello? I’m Class 1-0’s president, Eun Seoho. All the 3-0 seniors are all subdued. And I have something to announce.]
Why is Eun Seoho doing the broadcast?
What happened to the sunbae-jerks who attacked the broadcasting department?
Don’t tell me the Class 1-0 kids anticipated GeumChanWangChan’s move and aimed for a counterattack.
Is this their April Fool’s Day event?
I couldn’t grasp the situation, but Eun Seoho’s voice continued over the broadcast.
[To celebrate April Fool’s Day, we are challenging the Class 3-0 seniors for a battle]
A battle? On April Fool’s Day?
They seem to be following the footsteps of Woo Kihwan’s group who kept challenging their homeroom teacher on random days.
I knew Class 1-0 would challenge the Class Zero seniors one day, but I didn’t expect them to go straight to the third year seniors.
‘Is it because Hwang Jiho is in our class?’
It would be hard for Eunho and the descendants to battle against Hwang Jiho, and since the title of the Strongest and Worst Villains is held by GeumChanWangChan’s class, they must’ve thought that they’d win by default by beating them.
“No!”
“We’re busy, you little kids!”
“Yeah! We don’t even have time to hang out with Jegal-ssaem!”
Geum Chansol and Wang Chansol screamed in the air.
I wondered if Eun Seoho’s broadcast would end, but something else followed.
[Wait a moment, our class vice president told us to read this note if our seniors refused.]
Eunho was involved in this too.
A crackling sound was heard for a moment before Eun Seoho read the note.
[‘It’s okay if you refuse. But, the title of the Best Class Zero will belong to our class.’ That’s what’s written in the note. Wow, we won even without a fight! Thank you for giving this to us, seniors!]
GeumChanWangChan ran wild after Eun Seoho’s bright voice.
I can’t believe they fell for that kind of provocation.
The seniors shouted, pointing their fingers at the broadcasting department room and rushing to Class 1-0’s classroom.
“What’s that bastard saying!”
“Ugh, it’s more annoying that he sounds innocent!”
“I think he’s really sincere about it.”
“Wah, those kids are something else! Let’s just fight at this point!”
“Let’s go save Garam!”
With a “Waaah!” sound, the seniors ran to the broadcasting room with Moon Saeron following to cover whatever would happen.
Although I was worried about the young juniors getting caught up in the seniors’ rampage, I decided to go where I had to first.
‘Eunho won’t let his grandchildren get hurt. It’s gonna be alright. And I bet the old tiger will be with them too.’
Hwang Jiho must’ve heard the broadcast too, and I’m sure he’s sent an alter ego to take care of things.
As I took a step that didn’t fall off well, my vision began to be covered with light.
The cherry blossom leaves in the central district were colored in aurora.
‘Those attention-seekers.’
Those two left after the club membership period ended, but they returned for April Fool’s.
Lots of children took pictures of the aurora-colored blossoms.
Although those attention-seekers may not have intended it, this would make for the perfect background
“Jo Euishin, you’re right on time.”
At the central district, in front of a large open area surrounded by a safety fence and a sign that read “Undergoing Maintainance,” Hwang Jiho was waiting for me.
“Are the preparations complete?”
“Yes, all I have to do is create a boundary.”
Seeing that the fence is full of energy waves, I think the preparations went smoothly.
I wondered if it was possible to do it overnight, but Hwang Jiho’s power made it doable.
“Alright, let’s begin!”
When Hwang Jiho released golden energy waves, the safety fences were torn down and turned into golden particles.
Brilliant light spread through the area, engulfing the aurora-colored cherry blossoms and everything around it.
Fwaaaa…!
After getting hit by the light, a huge tower emerged from what was an open area before.
Not just a tower, but a drop tower type of attraction.
It was one of the rides at Hwangmyeong Theme Park that Hwang Jiho brought here.
And it wasn’t just the central area that had this kind of hidden attraction.

thanks for the chapter.
the madness of April fool’s and the “dark side” of Euishin… haha
> ‘a heartwarming story that the Chairman of Jiikhoe was stupidly stung by a real wasp’… quite a twisted sense, eh?
> ok toyoon and her futile struggle to take “revenge” for being left alone
> an imaginary pat on the head for the translator when translating a certain D’s dry pun
> the stupid 3-0es… get your priority straight, wouldn’t ya. You said you wanted to spread the Jaegal faith, but instead got provoked so easily
> uhh… so, the “tower” was real?

Two chapters?? ( ˶°ㅁ°)!! Thank you, Ms. Translator! (∩˃o˂∩)♡
Can you believe they decided to announce the challenge on April Fool’s Day? And to top it off, they’ve already started attacking some of the participants before making the official announcement! (๑>•̀๑)
Nice chapter as always, and looking forward for more! ٩(ˊᗜˋ*)و ♡

Thanks for the update! Yep, the AS alliance did take action. Anyways, turning the school into an amusement park? How fun, grand, and harmless. I wouldn’t really call it a prank, though. Of course, pranks shouldn’t be malicious, but I see them as at least a little annoying and confusing. Well, I guess people will be confused on how the hell they pulled it off. It’s a given, but no one is focusing today. I can’t wait to see what everyone thinks of their fun plan. Will Baekho be able to enjoy the theme park rides, since they brought it to him? I wonder if that was Euishin’s idea. I’ll be looking forward to the next chapter!
