EX rank supporting role’s replay in a prestigious school - Chapter 801
Halloween last year, the Fomorians held an auction in England.
Considering what happened there, I understand that the Demon Race turned their eyes upside down as they searched for the culprits.
Not only did we ruin their auction, we took the Spear of Lugh, a treasure of the Tuatha Dé Danann, and Imoogi’s Exorcism.
However, the news is that they’re not looking for me or the thieves, but for Sung GUkeon.
They prioritized finding the king-worthy man over retrieving the treasures.
[Sung Gukeon] (Attachment)
[Sung Gukeon] It’s a report written by Muyeong. He analyzed the trends of the Fomorian demons’ movements. You’d be put up to speed once you read it.
When I opened the attached file, I saw a report that clearly summarized the Fomorians’ activities.
Although Jeon Muyeong is in charge of many things other than the Fomorians, he managed to collate an excellent amount of information.
However, it wasn’t the time to admire my playable character’s competence.
The Fomorians narrowed their search from the whole world to Korea to the Eungwang District.
‘The Black Forest is in a derangement operation. If those martial artists weren’t here, we would’ve been identified long ago.’
The report also contained the activities of the Black Forest.
Reports suggest that players clad in black clothes, presumed to be members of the Black Forest, interrupted the Fomorians’ search in Eungwang High.
The Black Forest members and the Fomorian demons had a confrontation.
The Black Forest called for reinforcement, and Jeon Muyeong, who was watching the developments, thought about joining the fight.
But the Fomorians strangely retreat for some reason.
‘It’s impossible that those belligerents retread for no reason.’
I don’t think it’s simply to hide their identity.
I could only think of one reason.
Sung Gukeon.
‘Were they being careful not to anger Sung Gukeon?’
The blue-masked demon that day said that it had been a long time since the Lia Fáil screamed.
Considering the Fomorians’ power, it would be strange to invite a potential heir to the king to that auction.
I don’t know if it was because they’re sick of unworthy people coming, or if it’s Lia Fáil’s demand.
Seeing that they’re spending much of their time, money, and strength to find Sung Gukeon, I’m sure there’s no one else to replace him.
‘They avoided confrontation to not anger Sung Gukeon, the only man who can make the great stone make a sound.’
The demons persistently traced the participants of the auction to find Sung Gukeon, and they managed to narrow down their scope to the Korean Peninsula.
Since then, they made use of the Lia Fáil.
It seems to resonate with Sung Gukeon since it once felt his presence.
They used Lia Fáil to scan the entire Korean Peninsula, a very inefficient method.
After finding out that Sung Gukeon was mainly active in Eungwang District, they sent in demons.
[Sung Gukeon] The earth power in Korea disabled Lia Fáil’s tracking power. The earth power in Eungwang District is very dense so it doesn’t resonate properly.
Perhaps it’s a relief that amid misfortune, the demons would have to search on their own from here on.
Sung Gukeon is the most famous politician in Eungwang District so I’m worried that he’d be identified right away, but there are several famous people in this area which hopefully would make it more difficult for the demons.
On top of that, Hwangmyeong Group, one of Korea’s top four largest conglomerate groups, is located in Eungwang High.
The Fomorians might still have a long list of candidates.
‘But I don’t know how long this standoff will last. And right now isn’t the best time.’
The scenario of Sung Gukeon’s assassination is fast approaching, and the addition of the Fomorians in the equation made my head turn.
I hesitated whether I should first rule out the Fomorians.
‘I need to check exactly what pieces I have.’
Before I make a move, there’s something I need to find out.
Concluding now wouldn’t be good.
[Me] Thank you for telling me. I’ll think of a countermeasure before getting back to you.
[Sung Gukeon] Hahaha! That’s a fun thing to say. I didn’t message you to make you come up with a countermeasure.
Sung Gukeon was straightforward.
Did he want to discuss it with me?
Why did he message me?
[Sung Gukeon] Those demons can’t move carelessly because they want something from me. But it’s different for you.
[Sung Gukeon] Be careful, and contact me if anything happens.
So he’s worried about me.
No matter how I thought about it, he was the one in danger, but it was expected of a great person like him to worry about others instead.
I was moved and thanked him, and Sung Gukeon said something again.
[Sung Gukeon] Alright. If you’re thankful, then don’t forget what I said.
[Sung Gukeon] I’m saying this because I don’t think you’ll call me even though you’re caught up in something dangerous.
It’s not that I wouldn’t call him.
I decided to accept Sung Gukeon’s concern and ended the conversation.

The eventful first week of school has passed, and the period of joining clubs has welcomed the students.
The freshmen area was filled with holographic exhibitions of clubs and small groups, as well as performances meant to promote themselves to the students.
The newspaper department received quite a few membership applications even though not much effort was made for promotions.
The newspaper department seems to be the only standing media club in the school since the editorial department’s closure last year.
‘My classmates are really busy too.’
Our class has joined several clubs.
Kwon Lena is with the string instruments club.
Kim Yuri is in the Student Association.
Min Geurin is in the Art Department.
Hani is with the Taehokwon small group.
And Hwang Jiho and I are with the Newspaper Department.
‘The recently-joined kids said they’ll do club activities too.’
It’s amusing that they’d join clubs when it hasn’t been long since they entered school, but they welcomed the idea.
Goo Seulbi joined the Horticultural Department, while Ong Gildong is with Stalemate, the school’s chess small group.
‘So Yong Jegun was the free-spirited professor he was talking about.’
It was quite strange that Yong Jegun didn’t say anything about Ong Gildong joining Stalemate.
Come to think of it, it’s within his character.
Besides, there’s no need to discuss new members anyway.
Ong Gildong knows the Celtic chess game Fidchell.
It must be because of him that Stalemate’s promotional materials are a bit extra.
The same goes for the Horticultural Department.
‘Aurora-colored chess set and aurora-colored pots… Even people who don’t know those two would find a connection.’
There was something in common with the clubs that the attention-seekers joined.
Surprisingly, Jin Jungmok also joined a club.
When he announced so, our classmates assumed that it would be a martial arts or kendo club, but his decision was far from expected.
The club that the Black Darkness Swordsman joined was the calligraphy club.
Someone asked if it was the Black Forest’s instruction, but the swordsman answered that he signed up purely of his own will.
— To cultivate one’s mind, one must cultivate their calligraphy skills.
He once failed with his brush strokes during Kwon Lena’s birthday party.
His brush skills were in a crisis, uncharacteristic for a martial artist, and he must’ve been alarmed by it.
Blademaster Heukrim’s handwriting is a little scrawled, but it is much better than Jin Jungmok’s, which is perhaps why he wanted to improve.
— It’s not like two years of practice will improve your skills, so why—
— Why did that punk suddenly stop talking?
— Hmm, maybe because Geurin just arrived.
Song Daesok sensed the return of Min Geurin, which immediately made him stop talking.
He seems to have grown.
Anyway, the kids in our class were busy promoting their clubs or doing outside activities.
Dokgo Miro often leaves early after taking morning classes, Maeng Hyodon trains hard with Tak Geosan, and Song Daesok is busy with satellite work.
Saeum of April isn’t up to much, but he looked around the exhibits and performances in the freshmen area.
‘The General Club seems to be busy. Will President Heo Chaeah be okay?’
I think it’d be better to ask her for an interview so I can bring her snacks.
When I was walking down the hallway thinking about what to do with the Newspaper Department activities, I came across an acquaintance.
It was Bang Yoonseob, whom I hadn’t seen often recently.
He’s been distancing himself from his class, and I haven’t heard reports about him smoking recently.
“Ugh.”
Bang Yoonseob scrunched his face as soon as he saw me.
Why’d he do that to a person’s face?
I decided to be a little grumpy.
“Long time no see. Are you and your girlfriend okay?”
“What! G-girlfriend?! What do you know about that? It’s only been a day…”
I was just trying to tease him, but those two must’ve really started dating.
Amazingly, it didn’t start right after Christmas considering what they’ve been through, but they progressed much faster than Joo Soohyuk and Ahn Dain so I couldn’t really say anything.
The flustered Bang Yoonseob gave me some information.
‘Should I give him bread to wish their relationship well? No, Ryu Jang said Choi Younghee likes cookies more.’
Well, Bang Yoonseob will buy her cookies, so I should buy them bread instead.
“I want to buy bread, so which one should I—”
“I’m not gonna be your bread shuttle anymore! Even if I smoke, you can’t order me to buy it!”
Bang Yoonseob misunderstood my words and snapped at me.
The reason why he suddenly appears strong isn’t because of the order given by the Snake Clan.
It’s because he’s not afraid of the contract anymore.
The day Bang Yoonseob became my Bbang Shuttle, we had the following conversation,
— My condition for fighting is that the loser will be a Bbang Shu— I mean, an errand boy for a year. How’s that?
In other words, the contract has already expired.
It was a shame to lose my Bbang Shuttle, but something else bothered me.
“I see. But you won’t be smoking from now on, right?”
“None of your business.”
“Don’t smoke. It’s been a long time since you gained good strength. If you want to make the most of it, it’s best not to smoke.”
Bang Yoonseob looked defiant of my words, not wanting to hear any of it.
“No! I’ll smoke!”
At that moment, Bang Yoonseob’s fingernails suddenly began to heat up.
I don’t think it’s an R-rank item, but a strong energy wave emanated from him.
I felt like I could see faint scales at the tip of his nails.
“O-oh! What’s this!”
I spoke to the flustered Bang Yoonseob.
“I think it’s a side effect. The head of the Snake clan used your fingertips as a medium when she gave you an order.”
Bang Yoonseob’s eyes opened wide.
If my guess is true, Bang Yoonseob may have to be my Bbang Shuttle until the head of the Snake Clan lets him go.

Thank you for the chapter, Ms. Translator! (˵╹∀╹˵)
It seems that change doesn’t happen overnight. Nevertheless, I’m delighted to see Bang Yoonseob, or should I say, Bbang Shuttle, becoming more self-aware. (*´▽`*)❀.
The author’s portrayal of the characters development in a realistic manner is something I truly appreciate. (*˘︶˘*).。.:*♡
Nice chapter as always! and looking forward for more! ☆*:.。.o(≧▽≦)o.。.:*☆
Old_Cat
thanks for the chapter.
in the end, the matter of replay was put on hold, eh… was that okay tho?
also, did the fomorians snuffed out something about Euishin?? did they ‘merely’ want to reclaim spear of Lugh??
hmm… insufficient information, cannot make any conjecture.
about the 2-0 kids club activities… let’see did Saem bacome a going home club member?
for a side story: “The fate of eternal Bread-shuttle: I had ended my penance officially, but the bullies won’t let me rest???”

Thanks for the update! Aw, they’re dating now? Good for them. That’s cute. Though, poor Yoonseob. I wonder if that was intentional by the head of the snake clan? Someone’s gotta make sure he doesn’t regress. Anyways, it’s good that the demons seem to be cautious. Avoiding hurting people to please Gukeon. It works in our favor. Anyways+1, I guess they’re continuing in their current clubs? Right, that’s how things work there. Where I live, I think you have to keep going back after a year or so. I’m not sure, I’m not really one for clubs. I’ve gotta have time to read, after all.

Sometimes I feel bad for how clearly traumatized MC is. Everyone around is showing him how much they appreciate him- how he is worth a lot. They vote him as VP again, Eunho talks about how much they respect him enough to want to also be VP the tigerswant him to live in their house. But after being bounced between relatives he has such terrible self esteem- he thinks his worth is low, that they would kick him out if he gets close so he is scared to form that bond. What horrible things did his relatives do? Did they make him do all the chores and tell him he was still worthless and kick him out? Did they act like it was because he wasn’t polite enough? It’s sad to imagine.
