- Chapter 800 - A new Class 1-0 (11)
“Ah, I bet on her ‘cos she’s related to the Dragon Clan, but she lost in the first round.”
“Her opponent wasn’t easy. She was against the best kid.”
“Didn’t the Student Council President say his dongsaeng had a health issue?”
“I guess he’s all better.”
Some people regretted Yoon Yeorang’s elimination, but it was quickly shaken off.
Yeon Yeorang quipped nonstop next to Eunho while walking to the waiting room.
“I wanted to stay in the competition longer ‘cos it’s our class’ first event! Ah, right. I was surprised when you used formal language during our match. You did that, but it still felt like I was being talked down to.”
“There are seniors in the audience so I used honorifics.”
“I see!”
It seems like Yoon Yeorang didn’t intend to be the class president in the first place.
She seemed to be more interested in the technique Eunho showed during their battle.
“When you made that item, do you need to have a clear image in your head before you can produce it? And when you made the things float with your energy waves, did you…”
Yoon Yeorang bombarded Eunho with questions about how he summoned items intending to get hints on how to improve her own.
Despite Yoon Yeorang’s long questions, Eunho answered her very kindly.
The two of them are very impressive.
It warmed my heart to see my juniors get along with each other.
After that, the tournament continued.
“They fought well and didn’t get nervous.”
Hwang Jiho said so about Eun Seoho and Eun Iho’s respective battles.
The two apparently tried to save their strength.
At this rate, one of the two will meet Eunho in the final round.
They saved their energy for a stronger enemy.
However, before they could get to Eunho, they faced each other in the semi-final.
As if they had an agreement in advance, Eun Seoho and Eun Iho nodded at each other.
“I will forfeit.”
Eun Iho declared that she would abstain.
Eun Seoho was more powerful and had a higher level of skills, so the two must’ve chosen this strategy.
I guess they thought it would be useless to fight each other with all their might and lose the tournament in the end.
‘When I went to rescue them last April Fool’s Day, Eun Seoho approached on her own, saying that her battle skills are higher. I guess Eun Seoho is still ahead.’
Still, the difference in their skills isn’t that huge, and I was looking forward to seeing a battle between the two.
It was a shame, and I wasn’t the only one who felt that way.
All those who betted on Eun Iho lamented as they thought she’d fight, knowing that she ranked third in the entrance examination.
However, Eun Seoho showed a good performance until the semifinal, so they seemed to have managed to understand.
“One of us two should be the president. Don’t let that top-scorer kid steal it from you! Do well!”
“Yeah, I’ll do my best!”
Eun Seoho and Eun Iho gave each other a high five and left the battleground.
The audience talked about the siblings as they looked at their names and appearances.
“Are those two twins? They get along well.”
“No, I heard they’re ten months apart.”
“Oh… Their mother must’ve had a hard time.”
“Their family is close to the Hwangmyeong Group, so I don’t think they had it hard.”
“They’re related to the Class 2-0 crazyhead?”
Those kids are tigers, but they were mostly parented by the Rabbit Clan.
The Silver Hero stayed with them until Jaeho was born, but she wouldn’t have been around for long.
I’m sure Hwang Jiho heard what they said, but he had no response.
He seemed to be swallowing his anger and regret toward the Rabbit Clan.
I don’t think he’s upset about being called a “crazyhead” considering that he stuck with the nickname since freshman year.
Well, whether Hwang Jiho is angry or not, everything the kids said was all true.
“The last match will soon commence. Eun Seoho, Cheon Eunha, come forward.”
When Gong Cheonghwon’s words resonated, the two stepped forward for the final match.
Eun Seoho looked sharp, while Eunho looked as calm as he did in the first match.
Cheon Eunha looked at Eun Seoho, and he was taller so he was looking down a little.
As if he didn’t like it, Eun Seoho raised his head with strong eyes.
Eunho smiled as he looked at Eun Seoho’s young determination.
Hwang Jiho looked at them with his Glare skill-activated eyes.
“Jeokho is making a fuss behind the fog. He might as well reveal himself. If Baekho didn’t stop him, he really might’ve run out.”
I hope these mythical tigers won’t make a fuss when there are freshmen around.
It’s a relief that Baekho-gun is with them, at least there’s someone who has common sense.
And I hope Hwang Jiho refrains from talking about the other tigers so openly in a crowded place like this.
He has a boundary set up so that his lips can’t be read from afar, but anyone who has a power similar to Cheon Dongha could bypass that.
However, if someone takes an interest in Hwang Jiho like that, I guess the old tiger would notice first.
Then, something happened just before the battle started.
“I have something to say.”
“Go ahead.”
Eunho suddenly raised his hand before Gong Cheonghwon declared the start of the match.
“I am forfeiting.”
Eun Seoho’s eyes opened wide as if he didn’t know what he just said.
Eunho repeated it so that Eun Seoho would understand the situation before explaining his side.
“I was aiming to be Class 1-0’s vice president from the beginning.”
“Why is that?”
“My hyung was his class’ vice president when he was a freshman. I want to follow his steps.”
Cheon Dongha’s expression distorted a little.
As Eunho said, Cheon Dongha was the vice president of his freshman class.
He was at the top of his class too, but he was assigned to Class 1 with Kwak Gyungu.
In terms of impression alone, the strong impression given by Kwak Gyungu earned him more votes than the cold-looking Cheon Dongha.
“I heard about that rumor. That guy kept talking about his hyung during the interview which got him a spot at Class Zero.”
“He’s Cheon Dongha sunbae’s brother, right? If Cheon Dongha sunbae was my oppa, I think I’d follow him well too.”
“Don’t you have a real oppa?”
“No, he’s my mother’s son.”
“…I knew he would want to be the VP.”
While everyone was shocked, only the student who had the interview with Eunho seemed to have expected it.
Even I didn’t expect EUnho to make that choice.
“Don’t forget that you were the class vice president during your freshman year too, Jo Euishin.”
I know that, but so what?
Isn’t it just Eunho’s excuse to avoid fighting with his grandchildren?
Even if he hid his true name, identities would be revealed once they fight.
Anyway, the winner and runner-up for Class 1-0’s tournament has been decided.
Their class president is Eun Seoho, and Eunho is the vice president.
“Since the rankings are set, we should prepare for the next thing now.”
“Wouldn’t it be more convenient to proceed with things now that we have a leader?”
I heard an ominous conversation just after the commotion subsided.
I was a bit uneasy, but I decided to believe in the tigers who secured their spots as class officers.
* * *
The evening that day, I was invited to the tiger’s mansion for dinner.
Instead of accepting, I went to the dorms with the excuse that it was difficult to go to school if I visited the mansion often during the week.
When I returned to my dorm after evening training, I was welcomed by a swarm of messages.
Most of them were from Eungwang High students, warning me that the new Class 1-0 would be aiming for our class.
Those kids are playful, but I know they’re kind.
I’m sure there won’t be any problem.
The only message that didn’t contain words of concern was from…
[Yoo Sanghoon] (Link)
[Yoo Sanghoon] I won something.
The unusually long message got me thinking, so I checked the link that he sent.
I pressed the link, but the hologram page froze and I only saw a picture.
It announced the list of people who can participate in a closed beta test of a game to be released by SZ Games this year.
It was something Yoo Sanghoon was looking forward to, so it’s worth bragging about.
I had mixed feelings, knowing that this game would be a success.
‘PMH is a failed game, but this one’s a god-like game.’
This game also existed in PMH.
Released by SZ Games, a domestic company, it had all the elements a great game should have.
The only problem with it was that it was so good that a lot of people gathered around to cause problems.
It was a hit abroad too, and it changed the game market and the pro-league picture as it became a box office for e-sports.
‘If PMH was that popular, someone better than Gye Bastard would’ve come to this world.’
The thought of it made me feel bitter.
Since PMH doesn’t have a multiplayer mode, it would’ve been impossible for it to become such a hit.
But even with 10%, no, even just 1% of that game’s popularity, things would’ve been much different.
I felt emotional for no reason.
‘Ahn Dain seems to expect Yoo Sanghoon to join Class 1 in the third year.’
Of course, even though Yoo Sanghoon’s grades are a little higher than others, he failed to enter Class 1.
Perhaps she became attached to him when they were class officers together, she seemed very disappointed and said she hoped they would be in the same class next year.
Yoo Sanghoon, however, seemed to have no intention of studying harder than he is right now.
At this rate, I don’t think he can join Class 1 next year.
I sent a message that contained some rage but did not intend to make him study.
[Me] And your studies?
Of course, there was no way he’d be shaken by that short message.
But it prompted a long nagging from Jang Namwook, who seemed to have been waiting for the right timing.
[Jang Namwook] I’m worried for you just like Euishin is. Sanghoon-ah, we’re sophomores now so we need to study hard and think carefully about our future career choices. If you miss an important event, you’ll need to exert a lot of time and effort to keep up. It’s good to relieve stress through games sometimes, but you should focus on your work. I’m not worried about Euishin’s grades, but I’m worried that you’d choose basketball and games over studying, Sanghoon-ah. Those who lazed around in our freshman year would have it hard if they don’t take things seriously now.
As Jang Namwook’s messages continued, Yoo Sanghoon’s only reply was “haha.”
It was better than his usual “lol,” so I was still satisfied.
Amid Jang Namwook’s lengthy passage, a new message arrived for me.
It was from Sung Gukeon.
‘Don’t tell me Kim Shinrok already contacted him about Replay…’
However, Sung Gukeon’s message was unexpected.
[Sung Gukeon] Euishin-ah, I think the Fomorian demons have found that we’re in Eungwang District.

thanks for the chapter.
I want to write a lengthy one this time, but my nose won’t cooperate.
so, to summarize…
1. Jiho and his miss-focused target. He would never let the silly rabbits off the hooks anytime soon, eh…
2. I want to see Jeokho make a fuss at the scene and create another legend of “red lightning” strike
3. Really, I wonder why Eunho follows and revered Euishin to that degree, while he was just normal towards his own “blood-related” hyung
4. the seniors and school officials should revoke their initial opinion that the fresh 0 was just “a lil’ bit radical”… I have a gut feelin’ that they’re going to spread ZERO SUPREMACY anytime.
5. So, in what class did Sanghoon-ie was put into now?
6. The curtain for the next arc has beginning to open

Thanks for the update! Aw, I was looking forward to it. We still don’t know how the descendants fight… Well, I guess it only makes sense. If Eunho fought his identity would be revealed, and it’s smart to not waste energy fighting an ally. Anyways, about number 3 of what Old_Cat said, I think it makes sense. Euishin was his one and only. Here, he has plenty of loved ones. But in their old world, Euishin was pretty much the only one who treated him right, and an inspiration from when he was a child. He gave him hope, something to work for in the orphanage, a dream. And when they met, Euishin was Euishin and was just wonderful and kind as he always is. Sungheon was surrounded by people, but they were all sycophants. Only interested in him for his family’s money. But Euishin stayed by him, even when the company was falling apart, when he was embroiled in controversy. Even though he has others now, feelings so strong will persist.

Happy 800 chapters!
Thanks for all the effort you put into translating TL Aira, it really is appreciated and any day with a new chapter instantly becomes a better day! And thank you very very much for saying you will stick with translating this novel to the end!
For this chapter I love how impressed the other student in the interview remains by the hyung speech and that Jeokho was about to reveal himself from frustration. I do hope the kids find out soonish though, before anything terrible happens.
