- Chapter 797 - A new class 1-0 (8)
Eungwang High’s Class Zero officers elections are always notorious.
An overwhelming number of eccentric children and attention-seekers is present, so competition for class officers is always tight.
The oddballs in Class Zero usually engage in meaningless fights for the position of class president.
In the case of Woo Kihwan and GeumChanWangChan, they were good enough students to maintain good grades, yet eccentric enough to lead their crazy classmates.
Even so, they met crises where they were almost impeached.
‘That’s true for Geum Chansol and Wang Chansol, and there was a time when Yeon Garam became a temporary president.’
Our class had a lot of absentees last year so the elections were smooth, but I don’t know about this year.
Fourteen people attend school this time, so the process might be less efficient.
Unlike the other Class Zero sunbae-jerks, my classmates are kind and wouldn’t fight for the presidency as they did.
As I expected, one of the two oddballs was easily resolved.
“Alright, I’ll take the same position as last year then. I’ll do my best this year too!”
Kim Yuri got a unanimous vote and was elected as president without difficulty.
Based on the results, it seems like even the newly joined attention-seekers and Jin Jungmok were impressed by her.
Kim Yuri continuously kept contact with them, building a deep connection with the kids.
‘Kim Yuri makes sense, but why me…’
At the request of my classmates, the class president and vice president were chosen separately, and all of them picked me.
I don’t do much compared to the hardworking Kim Yuri, so I think everyone just picked me to retain the “Suspicious VP” nickname.
“I want Euishin to take it easy since he seemed very busy last year, but I want him to be our class VP still!”
“I feel a bit sorry giving the bulk of work to Yuri and Euishin, but if I were to pick anyone, it would be them…”
“I agree with Lena.”
“Oh, I just picked. I didn’t think about it that way. They do have lots of work.”
Maybe some of the kids picked without much thought like Maeng Hyodon, but I think it’s just because we didn’t make lots of mistakes last year.
Goo Seulbi and Ong Gildong, who went to school early in the morning to decorate the desks and chairs in aurora-colored stuff, each had something to say.
“Well, if it’s those two..”
“It was a short time, but they were trustworthy as class president and vice president. It’s only natural to choose them.”
The two gathered together and blinked at me a few times.
Why are they looking at me like that?
Don’t tell me it’s that “thief” loyalty nonsense again.
If they picked me because of that, they’re really something else.
“I thought the two fellows would go for it. How surprising.”
Sticking to his concept, the Black Darkness Swordsman chose the darkest corner of the room to place his desk.
He spoke about the two attention-seekers, and I agree with him.
GeumChanWangChan always did something during elections to attract attention, and I suspected that the attention seekers from our class would do the same.
However, the two of them concurred to have me and Kim Yuri retain our positions.
“We’re great and special so we stand out even if we’re not class officers anyway.”
“That’s right. And we still have something to do. We’re going to be away again after the club membership period is over.”
I thought they’d leave after the first day of classes, but the two might’ve had a change of heart.
They’re interested in joining a club now, huh?
“When I said I wanted to draw flowers, Seulbi told me about a greenhouse run by the horticultural department. Are you going to join that?”
I strange feeling at Min Geurin’s words.
I can’t believe the introverted Min Geurin talked to a new classmate and went to the horticultural department with confidence.
Goo Seulbi spoke proudly.
“You must want to borrow the strength of a great druidess. I’m sure such a precious power will be welcome anywhere.”
It’s true, the “Grace of the Green Hand” Goo Seulbi has a light skill that warrants that.
If the climate and soil aren’t in the right condition, plants are sure to wilt and die.
However, with Goo Seulbi’s power, all conditions are negligible.
No matter what happens, all types of plants and seeds will prosper.
When the head of the horticultural department encountered the attention-seekers and Jin Jungmok, their eyes seemed to have turned upside down when they saw Goo Seulbi grow a rare species of fir plant.
“I too joined a small group last year, even if I don’t go to school. I’ve helped them a few times too.”
“Didn’t the club adviser or the president say something about it?”
“The adviser said it doesn’t matter. Because the school embraces freedom, a person like me who considers the world his stage can do whatever I wish.”
Ong Gildong answered Song Daesok’s question in an exaggerated tone.
I can’t believe that small group, whichever it is, accepted Ong Gildong when he didn’t go to school.
It’s either they’re very open-minded, or they want their members to be tortured.
Ong Gildong added that he really liked that small club.
“I hope I can help promote that small group and get it promoted to an official club.”
Hani’s expression blurred when she lip-read Ong Gildong’s words.
The Taehokwon small group now has fewer members because the seniors have graduated.
In Taehokwon, a person’s frame must be completely right to use its power properly.
Only a few people use it as their main offensive technique since there’s little opportunity or place to learn it.
As fewer than three people usually sign up for courses, subjects related to Taehokwon are being pained.
Perhaps they’d remain as a small group for now.
“Hmm, if she has the will, I can make it into an official club no matter what.”
Hwang Jiho, who was sitting next to me, turned his head away from Hani and said so.
Various conditions have to be met for a group to be an official club and get approval from the General Club Association.
Don’t tell me he’s going to send several Tiger Clan members or maybe his alter egos to join the Taehokwon small group.
Well, if it’s for Hani or Gong Cheonghwon, I think this guy would do anything.
“Alright, now let’s decide on our class motto!”
Because of Professor Ham Geunhyung’s strong urging, our class motto last year was related to attendance.
This year, Professor Ham wanted us fourteen children to decide.
“Can’t we just use last year’s?”
Maeng Hyodon must’ve liked last year’s motto.
Or maybe he’s not confident that he can come up with great ideas.
There were various options, but most of the kids’ suggestions were related to attendance.
In the end, the opinions were consolidated and we came up with a new class motto.
As the class representative, Kim Yuri inputted it.
[100% Attendance Rate]
After all, discipline is the goal of a class motto.
Our class decided that we wanted a hundred percent attendance rate this year.
Professor Ham Geunhyung looked at the hologram with a satisfied expression.
Before formal classes began, the kids in our class went for morning snacks.
Today’s menu was strawberry crostata using seasonal strawberries.
“Hey, I heard that there’s a kid in the dorms who is doing experiments. The Class Zero kids were outside planning something else, so maybe the energy waves that exploded were from that kid’s room, right?”
“Yeah, I heard so too! There was a creepy atmosphere when they dropped the mannequin using energy waves. That’s why some of the energy waves leaked out…”
The topic of conversation was the explosion caused by the freshmen.
Worried about last year’s incidents, Professor Ham Geunhyung looked concerned.
Kwon Lena turned away with an awkward smile.
The juniors wanted to recreate something that happened last year.
Before I stepped up to change the topic, Mok Wooram spoke first.
“I heard that the freshmen are aiming to be the best Class Zero. What do you think they’ll do next?”
“Maybe they’ll start by copying the pranks done by the Class Zero seniors. Hmm, if so, then there are a lot of options.”
Saeum of April was right.
It will take a few days just to summarize all the trouble Class Zero has caused.
Still, I have an approximate idea of what Class 1-0 will do next.
Kim Yuri was the first one to realize it.
“…Oh no.”
“Why?”
“GeumChanWangChan sunbaes are considered the worst out of the Class Zero classes right now. Think about what they did during their freshmen year.”
The first month when those two entered school was called Hell Month.
Before being influenced by Jegal, their actions mostly caused havoc in Eungwang High.
The chaos was dismissed when GeumChanWangChan challenged Woo Kihwan’s group to sort ranks.
From the new Class 1-0’s perspective, there’s a high possibility that our class will be their target.
“Oh, so we’re going to fight?”
“They’ll rush in for sure.”
Maeng Hyodon and Dokgo Miro, our class fighters, reacted firmly.
I know those two would be okay, but I don’t know about the others.
“Don’t worry. This body won’t join.”
The old man doesn’t intend to participate.
I don’t know how Eunho would react to this, but I know he wouldn’t get involved in something useless either.
‘Would Eun Seoho and Eun Iho be okay? I hope they don’t get caught up in it for no reason… and for Yoon Yeorang, I think she’d end up watching even if I stop her.”
The thought of it made me feel like I just chewed bitter pie crust.
I should warn my juniors not to get caught up in stupid fights.
And if the fight begins, I’ll suppress damage and help the freshmen get back on track.
Then, Professor Ham Geunhyung spoke with a serious face.
“Be careful and don’t get hurt.”
“Yes!”
As if he knew it couldn’t be stopped, Professor Ham expressed his concern instead.
The kids answered vigorously in response.
I was on the lookout for this Class Zero war, but the situation was going beyond my expectations.
[Eun Seoho] Euishin hyung, we’ll be fighting in the war. Please cheer on us!
[Eun Iho] We’ll make sure to win! We may have lost in terms of grades, but we won’t lose when it comes to talent!
[Eun Seoho] Uh, will you be going too?
Mysterious messages came from Eun Seoho and Eun Iho after classes.
They must be up to something, but they were so excited that only their enthusiasm was conveyed.
I think this means that they won’t be fighting our class, but what the hell is going on?
Since they’re talking about grades, would they be coming after Cha Seokwon or Eunho?
My question was soon answered by Eunho.
[Cheon Eunha] There’s an event to select our class president today. It’s going to be held in public, so come and watch if you have time.
Class 1-0 will select their president by sorting ranks.

Thanks for the update! Such a lovely and enjoyable chapter to start off the week. I think Euishin and Yuri make for such great class officials. Yuri, the kind, hardworking, friendly president, and Euishin, who pretty much brought the entire class together, but is too busy for the work. They make a great team. I would go into more, but even though I don’t see a character limit, I’ll not burden you all with such a wall of text today. I wonder what club Euishin will join this year? If it’s a different club, now that the objective is complete, I’ll miss the newspaper club. I have so much to say today, but i’m used to limiting it to under 600 characters… Anyways, are the AS alliance just going with the aurora theme? I thought they’d keeping switching it up. Maybe they’ll strike when everyone’s guard is down.

Thanks for the chapter.
This was quite a silly but headache-bringing chapter… for some. Hahahaha
Class official selection eh, well… I agree that Yuri would be the sunshine while Euishin would be their shadow guardian.
Also, it was indeed surprising that the 2 AS fellows didn’t go for it.
And the fresh 0 would not change that much from the game ver even if some original members weren’t there now, eh… what a mess
Wanted to be the best class 0 of all time… this in itself had dual meaning. “Best” in literal meaning, and “Best” from 0-bearer views.
Hwangho and Euishin would often rub their temple in dismay often, I bet… I don’t know about Eunho tho…
Would he really lead his grandkids to the path of riot, chaos, and madness??

Thanks for the chapter, Ms. Translator! (´。• ω •。`)
Agree with Old_Cat +1 ٩(。•́‿•̀。)۶
Kim Yuri is truly a clever and adaptable individual, always ready to handle any situation that comes their way. (b ᵔ▽ᵔ)b
Regarding the suspicious Vice President, it’s possible that his nickname might have played a role in him being selected again.
Eunho doesn’t see himself as a guardian for the children just yet, so I suppose he won’t intervene to stop them either. („• – •„)
Nice chapter as always, and looking forward for more! \(^▽^)/
