- Chapter 794 - A new Class 1-0 (5)
According to a witness, Jin Jungmok behaved like a true Class Zero kid.
Kwak Gyungu was heading to his classroom after cleaning up the entrance ceremony when he encountered the martial artist.
To put it exactly, the martial artist ran out in front of Kwak Gyungu using excellent steps.
— I, the strong Black Darkness Swordsman, wish to be taught by a sunbae.
Jin Jungmok appeared, wearing a black bamboo hat and his clothes fluttering in the wind.
Those who saw him knew he was from Class Zero, but the words he spoke stunned them.
— D-dark… what? Did I hear correctly?
— Yeah. He’s serious about that martial artist thing, it’s not an act.
— I guess those Class Zero jerks aren’t satisfied with just one concept.
— But did that kid go to school last year? Ah, I heard Blademaster Heukrim’s student got into a fight here too…
— Oh yeah, his belt had a sword and a forest. It’s the logo of the Black Forest team! That must be him.
Even those who saw lots of Class Zero kids couldn’t hide their emotions.
It’s troublesome even if he’s just a regular weirdo, but he appeared with a whole concept and all.
Fortunately, Kwak Gyungu retained his senses.
— …Are you from Class Zero? Do you always pick fights like this?
— No. I heard about the Iron Blood Dual Sword, the Great Warrior Kwak’s reputation. Now that I attend the school that his student and son, Kwak Sunbae, is attending, I wish to learn.
Iron Blood Dual Sword was the alias of Kwak Gyungu’s father.
Although Jin Jungmok’s appearance and behavior are far from a normal person’s thinking, it kind of makes sense.
He wants to learn from a sword master.
There are several ways to get there instead of a battle, but he chose this.
— I see. But after the battle, you will go back to your room immediately.
— Thank you for accepting.
Kwak Gyungu faced a Class Zero junior on the first day of school.
The rumor spread quickly and people came to watch the duel, including my classmates.
They wanted to go and watch as soon as they heard.
“Oooh, I want to see that kid fight again.”
“Me too.”
“Let’s go cheer on Jungmok!”
“Yeah, we won’t let our classmate fight alone!”
Maeng Hyodon and Hani wanted to watch him fight, while Kwon Lena and Saeum of April wanted to cheer him on.
The majority of the class was already inclined.
“Well, then let’s all go together! It won’t be too late to go back after.”
That’s how we headed to the place where the battle was going on.
At the gym in front of the Sangin Hall, the freshmen students and their parents were also sitting in the audience with the sophomores and seniors who heard the rumors.
At the center of the crowd were Kwak Gyungu and Jin Jungmok.
Kwaaang!
Jin Jungmok’s sword and Kwak Gyungu’s dual swords collided, leaving sparks behind.
We couldn’t see the swords well due to the black smoke from Jin Jungmok, but everyone knew that the fight was fierce.
‘’The audience seems to be rooting for Kwak Gyungu. He’s the vice president and a student who’s received his alias, while Jin Jungmok is a kid who hid his name and wandered overseas, so… Oh?’
When I looked around the stands, I saw people dressed especially splendidly and cheering for Jin Jungmok.
The attention-seekers.
“Black Darkness Swordsman, you can’t lose here! Your sword can’t be broken in a place like this!”
“Yeah! You won against us, so you should keep winning!”
Ong Gildong and Goo Seulbi, wearing all kinds of eye-catching colors, were cheering him on.
Ong Gildong had an aurora-colored balloon in the air, while Goo Seulbi summoned vines to hang her aurora-colored cheering paraphernalia.
Other than the two, I saw more of our classmates.
Somehow, Min Geurin and Song Daesok ended up sitting next to those two.
“Jungmok’s energy waves are pretty, but it’s a shame that we can’t see it well because of the device on his sword.”
“Geurin-ah, the attention… I mean, those kids, let’s leave them alone and go back to the classroom. We’re going to be late.”
“You weren’t about to call our classmates attention-seekers, were you? You were cheering with a loud voice earlier too, Daesok-ah.”
Song Daesok was immersed in cheering until just now, but he suddenly changed his attitude when Min Geurin praised Jin Jungmok’s energy waves.
In this chaotic atmosphere, I was glad the kids were here.
“You’re all here! Let’s cheer them on together!”
“This will be the first event in our class!”
My classmates naturally settled down with each other.
The cheering attention-seekers looked proud as the class gathered towards them.
“Oh, you guys are all here? Oh, you must’ve found us quickly since we caught your eyes!”
“We didn’t intend this, but we must’ve caught attention naturally.”
“Yeah, we saw you from afar. We found you right away thanks to that.”
The attention-seekers’ faces looked bright when Kim Yuri said what they wanted to hear.
Those two originally planned to make a grand entrance at the Sangin Hall after the entrance ceremony.
However, the ceremony ended earlier than expected, and while they tried to attract attention later, most people were distracted by Jin Jungmok.
They were bitter, but they had to cheer on the guy that beat them before.
They decided to use cheering to attract attention.
‘It’s a grand rhetoric, but it’s about wanting to stand out in the end.’
In the meantime, Jin Jungmok and Kwak Gyungu continued to clash.
The dual swords cracked the air fiercely as if it was going to knock Jin Jungmok down, but the latter flexibly blocked the attacks.
At a glance, Kwak Gyungu’s swords gathered as if they were one as they launched a fierce offensive.
However, Jin Jungmok looked more relaxed.
He seemed to silently observe the blades’ movements as if studying Kwak Gyungu’s swords.
‘As long as Kwak Gyungu can use his light skill, he can break Jin Jungmok’s sword.’
Brickhead Maeng Hyodon said that the kid seems to have a lot of real battle experience and that the tide seems to be swinging his way.
Kwak Gyungu has a lot of experience attacking otherworlds, but he has less than Jin Jungmok who dedicated his time abroad.
Before Jin Jungmok got used to Kwak Gyungu’s offense, the fight looked even.
It looked different now though.
I was silently rooting for both of them when another member of our class appeared.
“Woah, it’s Professor Ham Geunhyung!”
“Professor, let’s cheer on them together!”
Professor Ham Geunhyung was running in a hurry, his face more violent than when we saw him at the entrance ceremony.
I think he understood the situation when he saw Jin Jungmok fighting Kwak Gyungu and the kids in our class cheering him on.
He looked like he had a headache.
However, Professor Ham Geunhyung spoke in a relieved voice.
“…I was surprised that no one was in the classroom.”
He must’ve been worried that Class 2-0’s attendance on the first day was 0%.
He came to the classroom earlier to see us, and he would’ve been flustered that no one was there.
I should’ve left a note.
Instead of cheering together, Professor Ham went down close to the center to prevent anyone from getting injured.
Those two continued fighting without a care as Professor Ham approached.
The longer their exchange went on, the bolder Jin Jungmok’s movements became.
‘I think it’s almost over. If he takes longer, Kwak Gyungu will lose.’
Jin Jungmok lowered himself at a speed that was difficult to follow and aimed for Kwak Gyungu’s side.
Kwak Gyungu gathered energy waves to use a big technique with his swords, lifting them high and blocking Jin Jungmok’s attack.
Jin Jungmok had to fall back, but no counterattack was made.
Then…
Suddenly, a powerful brass instrument was heard, followed by the orchestra ensemble.
It was Radetsky March by Johann Strauss, a piece prepared by various instrument clubs under the leadership of the orchestra.
“Time to go back to your rooms. Enough!”
When the bell rang, Professor Ham stopped the two with his energy waves.
Jin Jungmok and Kwak Gyungu immediately took a few steps back, collecting their respective blades.
Jin Jungmok placed his sword in a sheath on his waist, while Kwak Gyungu carded his.
“I learned a lot.”
“I would’ve lost if there was no time limit.”
“Thank you for your generous humility.”
Jin Jungmok bowed his head, while Kwak Gyungu’s expression had a hint of anger and frustration.
He hid his expression when Jin Jungmok raised his head and said,
“If you want to study dual swords, you should find my father’s other student. That one is better than I am.”
Another student.
He was talking about Joo Soohyuk.
If he went to Joo Soohyuk, perhaps Jin Jungmok would be pleased.
He’s a weird guy, but he takes battles seriously, so there must be a lot of chemistry between him and other sword users.
“I would’ve come to find him even without your recommendation.”
Jin Jungmok will fight Joo Soohyuk.
* * *
Hwangmyeong mansion.
I didn’t intend to be trapped on the first day of school, but after a strong persuasion from Eunho’s descendants, I had to stop by the mansion.
I had to meet Eun Jaeho and Hwang Yuho who went to Gwangil Elementary School together, so it can’t be helped.
I happened to have something to talk to the tigers about, so I stopped by.
“Euishin-oppa! We heard that a Class 2-0 sunbae fought with a third-year!”
“We would’ve come too if we knew, what a shame.”
As soon as Eun Iho and Eun Seoho saw me, they brought up the topic of the fight.
Class 2-0 caused trouble on the first day and dominated the bulletin boards.
Many people said they expected it as soon as he entered the school.
However, the overwhelming opinion was that people were relieved and thankful that Woo Kihwan and his group were out of the school.
‘I’m more curious about how Eunho and the two met.’
The kids talking excitedly made it difficult for me to change the topic, so I let them.
By the end of it, it was already dinner time.
‘Kim Shinrok is late.’
We were waiting since we’d have dinner together, but Kim Shinrok was nowhere to be seen.
Jeokho complained to Hwang Jiho, thinking that he had given his son a lot of work.
“My son is late. Is the school very busy because it’s the first day?”
“I’ll check.”
Hwang Jiho spoke after moving his alter ego that he stationed in the school.
“There was an explosion in the freshmen dormitory building, so he went there as Jiikhoe’s adviser. He’s coming soon, so let’s wait.”
The new Class 1-0 kids don’t seem to be normal ones.
I was worried for Eunho who was among the Class Zero freshmen dorm students.

thanks for the chapter.
hahaha… we have 4 situations.
1. Some “normal” students think that all class 0 are jerks.
— I guess those Class Zero jerks aren’t satisfied with just one concept.
this line is the proof. but I know that they refer to 0 seniors, not Euishin’s
2. Prof. Ham was pressing the panic button the moment he opened the class door.
Well, it’s cute tbh, but the result was him running around like a depraved hunter. I wonder if he has some anxiety about the kids (Euishin is excluded)
3. Euishin wanted to take some distance against the tigers, and “don’t want to be taken as hostage” anytime soon.
However, softie as he was towards the shotas, he then went into the trap by his own, albeit reluctantly.
4. The new 0 is making a riot on their first day already…. hahaha

Thanks for the update! I can’t think of much to say today… Though, over the weekend, I had wondered if Eungwang has a theatre department. They probably do, but I don’t think it was ever mentioned. It would be fun if a character was into theatre. The attention seekers would fit it well. Maybe not though, because they would probably go a bit too over the top. The leads are important, but so is the ensemble and everyone else. Trying to steal the show like they would would be annoying.
