- Chapter 790 - A new Class 1-0
Cheon Sungheon probably didn’t see me then, but I witnessed him lead the oath at their entrance ceremony back in college.
Many people would’ve remembered him other than me as we watched the top student of his class take the podium and represent the freshmen students.
This time, the people would’ve been more diverse and complicated, making it difficult to determine who’s the best among them.
But if it were up to me, it was obvious.
‘It’s ridiculous to think that he got allegations of corruption, solicitation, and wrongful admission later on.’
That kind of corruption, when done by someone, would usually lead them to lie low, not put themselves in such a spotlight.
It was Cheon Sungheon as a person who threw away the suspicions raised about his character, but it was surprising that some people on campus believed it and ostracized him.
Anyone who’s taken a class with Cheon Sungheon wouldn’t doubt it.
But of course, the trouble with Cheon Sungheon’s family was inevitably shed to light, raising suspicions.
‘Even so, how come they treated Cheon Sungheon like that?’
While Cheon Sungheon was busy bringing down his family, all I could do was stay the same as before.
Even though I couldn’t take care of Cheon Sungheon because my situation wasn’t that good either, he always made sure to thank me for every little thing.
I always felt sorry for that.
I was surprised when Cheon Sungheon suddenly started working at the goshiwon where I stayed, saying that he’d live a more comfortable life once he finished his work.
Still, I was relieved that his face looked milder than the months prior.
‘But he studied his brows off even while he was working.’
After he destroyed the evil in his family, Cheon Sungheon was always studying something while working as the general manager of the goshiwon.
He didn’t make it obvious, but I knew it since I was close to him.
Overwhelming education is a weapon, and Cheon Sungheon understood that power well.
Even now, as Eunho, he still seemed to think the same.
‘It’s going to be hard for his peers to take the top spot away from him.’
Unless there’s a reason for him to not aim for that spot, it’s natural to do so.
No matter how young his peers are, he can’t let his guard down among these kids.
If he does well, it may solidify Eunho’s position within the TC Group.
Eun Seoho and Eun Iho, who were both aiming for the top spots, aren’t in a very good position, but it’s difficult to tell Eunho to give way on purpose.
A royal lineage like Hwang Jiho is determined to get a score of 40 on all subjects, but it’s only natural that others like Eunho would do their best.
“Euishin hyung, we couldn’t get the number one spot…”
“The one who got it got a perfect score on everything, including practical skills…”
The news of the top student also got to the two kids as they spoke with dejected faces.
‘Eunho must really have no intention of going easy. I can’t believe he got a perfect score on everything.’
I thought Eunho might be weak in practical skills, but I guess not.
Well, Eunho won against Hwang Jiho back then during the mythical age.
He’s good at handling forces.
With a dead expression, the two kids asked Hwang Jiho.
“Hwangho-nim, what is our rank then?”
“Is it a tie? Right?”
Hwang Jiho couldn’t answer immediately.
After much hesitation, Hwang Jiho said deadpan,
“The second place is a different student. You are third and fourth place, respectively.”
Hearing the answer, the siblings buried themselves on the sofa weakly.
Just in time, my angel, who just returned from a walk, tried to comfort the two by going back and forth between them, but the great shock dealt considerable damage.
Sanryeong, who accompanied them during their walk, stomped his feet and glared at Hwang Jiho, obviously blaming him.
Hwang Jiho paid him no mind.
The firstborn Eun Seoho felt even more frustrated, while Eun Iho looked a little encouraged.
‘Is my playable character second place?’
From what I saw in PMH, my playable character was supposed to be the top student.
My character had a carefree personality, the type who doesn’t dwell too much on grades or events.
Just before admission, they didn’t check their device messages and almost missed the oath-taking ceremony.
There was even a rumor that that student ran away since they couldn’t be seen until the start of the entrance ceremony.
‘Wait, so from first place to fourth are all from Class Zero?’
My playable character was from Class Zero.
Those well-performing students from Class Zero would likely not cause any trouble, but I think the teachers would still be nervous.
Our class was well-behaved so there weren’t any problems, but considering the trend with the seniors, it’s a little concerning.
If all the troublemakers are consolidated in Class Zero without some prim students to get in between, the teachers would have a really difficult time.
First, I decided to ask.
“What class is the second place?”
“They will be assigned to Class 1-1.”
“Not Class Zero?”
“You must’ve guessed Class Zero. The interviewers were torn, but they decided that it’d be okay to put them in a regular class.”
Hwang Jiho noticed that I was comparing my knowledge from PMH to what was happening now.
As if he was troubled by something else, Hwang Jiho pressed his temples.
Eunho’s grandchildren entering Class Zero is a big problem in itself, but there must be something else.
“A lot of unique students are coming in this year. It’s difficult to manage Class Zero if there are too many students in their class, so we limit it to twenty students as much as possible. That’s why we sent the second placer to Class 1-1.”
Even if it would exceed twenty students, don’t they think my playable character is supposed to be in Class Zero?
I guess there really are “unique” students coming in this year that would make it difficult to put my playable character in Class Zero.
There’s no doubt that they’d think that considering what Eunho’s grandchildren did during their interview.
Eum Seoho and Eun Iho suddenly brightened up.
“Woah, the competition for Class Zero must’ve been fire!”
“The top two kids couldn’t get in, but we did!”
I honestly didn’t know why they were happy, but I’m glad their spirits got back up.
I also congratulated them in a daze.
In my head, I kept thinking about the situation in PMH.
‘Nothing particularly happened with Class 1-0 in PMH but…’
Unlike in PMH, Eun Seoho and Eun Iho will be joining the class.
It’s unusual that the interviewers sent the top two students to a regular class just because Class Zero had three additional students.
If so, there is one conclusion.
‘The oddballs who didn’t choose to enter Eungwang High in the game must’ve decided to attend school.’
Even in PMH, Eungwang High was still the most prestigious school in Korea, even if it was caught up in several incidents and ruined by corrupt teachers.
Every year, more and more applicants try to enter the school, and the conscientious and outstanding teachers do their jobs silently.
Nevertheless, there might be some people who chose not to attend Eungwang High considering the ominous incidents it went through and the bullying from the teachers.
‘It’s all been solved safely, so more talents would likely gather in Eungwang High.’
I was a little worried that there would be more weirdos now than in PMH, but I was glad that there would be more great juniors who would enter Eungwang HIgh.
* * *
The preparation for the entrance ceremony went smoother than at the graduation ceremony.
Partly because there was less work to do and there were fewer troublemakers this time.
‘Will Jegal be okay?’
There were rumors that the GeumChanWangChan group decided to hang out before the start of the new academic year.
They were said to have scheduled a national festival tour.
The seniors went around looking for festivals with overlapping days such as the trout festival, sparrow festival, and snowflake festival.
As the social media accounts of the festival hosts showed several images of GeumChanWangChan and their group, there was a rumor that they actually did it as a part-time job to boost festivals engagement.
There were other private trips too, just like the one that Kim Shinrok and Ahn Dain went on.
‘As expected of the title heroine. She made plans as soon as she knew what Kim Shinrok’s favorite food was.’
Those two traveled to Sangju, Gyeongsangbuk-do which is famous for its persimmons.
It was clearly a trip for Kim Shinrok.
They went to the dried persimmon village, where 90% of the residents are engaged in persimmon production, and did some volunteer work.
Ahn Dain sent some pictures during their trip, and although Kim Shinrok looked shy, he seemed to be eating dried persimmons well.
She also sent pictures to Jeokho, and I had to hear the man brag about how close his son was to his student.
‘I like the dried persimmon trip photos, but I wish I had pictures of her duel with Joo Soohyuk.’
Because of Joo Soohyuk’s request for a duel, the two met several times before school started.
The result of the competition was, of course, an overwhelming victory for Ahn Dain.
Joo Soohyuk seems to be narrowing the gap little by little through repeated battles, but he seemed out of it during the fights.
When the tiger couple visited the training ground to give their daughter a lunchbox…
‘He’s met the parents of the person he likes without any warning. He’s bound to be nervous.’
On top of that, Ahn Dain has eerily similar features to the tiger couple.
Just looking at their faces, Joo Soohyuk will be mesmerized by the thought of Ahn Dain.
The couple said,
— Our child’s friend fights well. He made lots of mistakes, but he did a great job for a kid his age. He seems to have great talent.
— He’s prim, nice, and talented enough to compete with our child… I understand that our child has a crush on him too.
The tiger couple praised Joo Soohyuk, but there was a sign of regret in their words.
What’s so regrettable about Joo Soohyuk?
Is it because they think he’s weaker than Ahn Dain?
However, the reason was completely different.
— We don’t know what our child really feels yet, but we wanted the benefactor to be part of our family.
I was taken aback.
Do they want me to be in a relationship with Ahn Dain?!
It was nonsense.
Ahn Dain already has the perfect title hero in her heart.
Considering this and the misunderstanding with Joo Soohyuk, I wondered if I should keep an appropriate distance from the two.
“Everyone in our class will stay in Class Zero.”
There was distress, but there was also good news.
All of my classmates will be moving on to Class 2-0.
Our homeroom teacher, assistant homeroom teacher, and the kids who aren’t attending school yet will all remain.
It’s a shame that our attendance isn’t perfect yet.
Not long after I heard the news from Hwang Jiho, I got a text from Goo Seulbi and Ong Gildong.
Those two were on a mission to make the school deniers to attend school.
[Ong Gildong] Thank you for the great information! When we told it to that kid, they immediately chose to return to Korea.
[Goo Seulbi] That kid is in Korea now.
The kid who refuses to go to school, the one who’s looking for “nightmares,” has come to Korea.

another thanks for the chapter.
it is a mess… for the teachers. Rank 1 to 4 of the new gen should have been put into class 0? haha… headache incoming
undoubtly, class 0 of Eushin’s gen was the teachers’ favourite of all class 0 so far. In a good way too.
it is also amazing that Euishin’s gen of class 0 had the highest number of playable characters attending. Compared to his sunbaes, practically not even a single one of 0-carrier was a playable.
ohhhhh… next time, the last new kid will appear???? well, considering that the stupid title hero and Dain aren’t going to be included into class 0 unlike in the game, this would be the last??
side note. Dain’s parents want Euishin to be the groom!!! what a pinch

Thanks for the update! Class Zero supremacy! It’s a bummer that playable character won’t be part of it. I still can’t wait to meet all the lovely juniors. I wonder what place Yeorang was? On top of all of that, new our class zero member! I’m excited to meet them as well. Things are changing, but it brings many new, wonderful things with it. Anyways, though it’s cute the tiger couple wanted Euishin as family, he mentally too old for her. Plus he’s Dain x Soohyuk’s greatest shipper. What would be a good ship name for them? I’m looking forward to the next chapter. Thank you for all you do, Translator Aira.

Thanks for the chapter, Ms. Translator! (*´▽`*)
Eunho fit more to be in class 1-1 more, i think.
Well, now Eun Seoho and Eun Iho are the possible leaders of the new class 1-0 ヾ( ˃ᴗ˂ )◞ • *✰
I wonder what the reason is behind the new kid’s search for nightmares. (๑•́ -•̀)❓
Nice chapter as always, and looking forward for more! (◍•ᴗ•◍)
