EX rank supporting role’s replay in a prestigious school - Chapter 786
“The graduation ceremony will now commence. Please rise for the national anthem.”
The host of the graduation ceremony was the head of the school affairs and one of the school’s ambassadors, Jegal Jaegul.
When Jegal began to speak, a group of Class 2-0 students opposite me began filming.
They seem to be here for their own gain, not to celebrate the graduation.
All faculty members were dressed more neatly than usual, so I understand their thirst for taking pictures.
As a member of the newspaper department, I’m going to take lots of pictures too.
“Now, for the diplomas to be presented to our graduates.”
Due to the large number of students in Eungwang High, the diplomas are received by each class representative.
At Jegal’s words, Class 3-0 President Woo Kihwan and the other ten classes took the podium one after another.
Thanks to the elevated podium, the colors they were wearing were clearly visible.
All of them were wearing graduation gowns with their uniforms, and the designs of their hats were different.
Most of them were regular square hats, but there was a group of students wearing baseball caps that were specially tailored.
Seeing their appearance, I felt just how liberalized Eungwang High was.
“I was worried they wouldn’t accept their diploma since they said they don’t wanna graduate. Still, those Class 3-0 guys wore their graduation caps and were polite during the ceremony. That’s a relief.”
“…Those guys aren’t humans.”
Jang Namwook and Yoo Sanghoon whispered as they watched Woo Kihwan receive the diplomas from Principal Hwangbo Yoon, who had her face covered with her hair and scarf.
I agree with Yoo Sanghoon.
We can’t let our guard down against those Class 3-0 seniors, even if it’s their last day.
Woo Kihwan was being watched until the end of the diploma giving.
‘I think there’s something going on.’
Woo Kihwan’s expression was normal with his common lost face, but he seemed to be thinking of something delicious.
Fortunately, nothing happened at the beginning of the ceremony.
“Next will be the awarding ceremony. The awards are divided into four categories: diligence, model, academic background, and special categories.”
Diligence is determined by attendance.
They are more commonly known as “perfect attendance awards” or “attendance awards.”
In the case of Eungwang High, where students can graduate even without attending school that much, only a few students have won this 3-year attendance award.
As for our class whose attendance is particularly poor, there might only be one who can get this award.
Other classes have good attendance, but some students inevitably miss school to attack otherworlds or study abroad.
“Now, for the attendance awards. For the 3-year attendance award…”
Only three names were mentioned by Jegal.
The only three students who haven’t missed a day of school in three years.
None of the names were familiar to me.
‘My playable characters are easily caught up in incidents. Sung Siwan is often away to attack otherworlds, and the seniors in the newspaper department go on news coverages. As for the Class 3-0 sunbae-jerks… Well, no need to say more.’
The three students took the podium with pride.
An attendance award from Eungwang High was surely something worth bragging about.
Next, the award for model students was presented.
There were five awards in total: merit award, exemplary award, service award, good deed award, and filial piety award.
‘Only students who have never been disciplined for three years can get these awards. That disqualified some of them.’
Oh Hyeji was one.
Oh Hyeji is an exemplary student leader and a great student, but when she was a freshman, she had a lot of incidents because of her family.
As expected, Oh Hyeji wasn’t on the list.
‘But there are quite a few familiar people this time.’
Merit award is given to students who have contributed to the school’s development through their on-campus and extracurricular activities and outstanding leadership.
Two of my acquaintances received this award.
One was Do Wonwoo, and the other was Sung Siwan.
Do Wonwoo has always been a top student so it’s almost certain that he’d receive an award, but considering his performance at school, especially during the last Christmas, he obviously should be given this award.
Sung Siwan was the biggest otherworld attacker player on campus and was regularly on the list of the top contributors.
Perhaps Sung Siwan will receive an Energy Award later.
“Woah, Wonwoo hyung got an award.”
“…”
Do Shihoo, who appeared like a ghost, applauded peacefully.
Yoo Sanghoon’s face crumpled when he saw Do Wonwoo receiving his award.
Do Shihoo’s tactless remarks continued when the next name was called.
“Sanghee noona is receiving an award. Hahaha!”
(T/N: Award is “sang” in Korean, a pun on Sanghee’s name.)
“You call that a joke, Do Shihoo?”
“I bet. Just ignore him, Sanghoon-ah.”
Yoo Sanghoon’s mood got worse, Do Shihoo was sulking, and me and Jang Namwook turned the other cheek and congratulated Yoo Sanghee.
Yoo Sanghee received a volunteer award in recognition of her frequent volunteer work, utilizing her healing abilities.
Next, another playable character won a good deed award.
‘The Student Association ran smoothly thanks to Ji Myungsoo. Do Wonwoo’s family problems often pulled him away from school.’
Since Ji Myungsoo was friendlier and had a lot of acquaintances, the applause was louder this time.
Finally, after the filial piety award, the awards in the academic background category continued.
Academic standards vary slightly from school to school, but in the case of Eungwang High, the top 1% based on cumulative grades can receive this award.
Every grade level has around 500 students, so only five can receive this award.
‘The top two seats are for Do Wonwoo and Woo Kihwan, no doubt. The three spots must’ve been competitive.’
The names were announced by rank.
And among the five, Yoo Sanghee’s name came up!
I wasn’t surprised when Do Wonwoo was mentioned, but a smile automatically went to my face at the mention of Yoo Sanghee’s name.
Everyone seemed amazed at the excellence of the people called on stage.
‘Do Wonwoo looks nervous.’
He was calm when he received the merit award, but why is he nervous about this one, an award that would obviously be given to him?
Looking closely, it doesn’t seem to be about the award.
He’s conscious of receiving an award with Yoo Sanghee.
It’s been a long time since the two of them stood so close to each other like this.
There was no issue thanks to Jegal’s smooth hosting, but when Do Wonwoo came down the stage after receiving the award, he let out a small sigh.
“Phew.”
Yoo Sanghoon sighed too, but it was buried in the anticipation for the next award.
Athletic Ability Award, Energy Ability Award, Entertainment Award, and Technical Skill Award.
As expected, Sung Siwan won the Energy Ability Award, and the Entertainment Award was given to someone expected too.
“The Entertainment Award is given to Jung Haesoo of Class 3-0. The said student has demonstrated exemplary skill in….”
The Class 3-0 Vice President and the haegeum player Jung Haesoo won the Entertainment Award.
It’s only natural since the head of a royal lineage was repelled with their instrument, but considering the reality of these seniors’ personalities, I was a bit…
I still remember Jung Haesoo’s voice being the loudest among the seniors who wanted to join Dokgo Miro’s class.
Finally, the awarding for the special category was held.
‘The special category is given by people outside the school. Probably the Players’ Association president, or the president of a university with player-related subjects.’
Most of the special category awards were related to careers.
Among them, Oh Hyeji received an award from the president of the university she was planning to go to.
After the ceremony, the Chairman delivered a congratulatory speech.
‘Doesn’t the principal usually do the closing remarks? Principal Hwangbo Yoon must’ve really hated dealing with people.’
Although she gave the diploma and certificates in respect to the graduates, she didn’t intend to deliver a speech.
The Chairman did that instead, so it doesn’t really matter.
When Jegal announced the next part of the ceremony, Hwang Jiho in the form of Hwang Myungho took the podium.
“Hello, Eungwang High School graduates. I sincerely congratulate you for completing high school.”
A voice lower and thicker than Hwang Jiho’s spread throughout the hall.
With a good smile on his face, Hwang Jiho slowly looked around the Sangin Hall.
When he saw the 3rd year students, their families, and guests, he seemed to have relaxed.
We seem to have made eye contact too.
He’s in the body of an old man, but his eyes are still good.
After a refreshing yet routine congratulatory speech, Hwang Jiho came down from the podium.
Everyone applauded, except for one.
“…Am I seeing correctly?”
Jang Namwook watched Hwang Myungho’s entrance and exit with a perplexed face.
He fiddled with his glasses, blinked several times, and whispered to himself.
‘Don’t tell me he can see Hwang Jiho in Hwang Myungho’s appearance.’
Jang Namwook has the Eye of the Star Maiden.
He once called the 20-year-old version of Hwang Jiho by his name.
Is there no difference in Hwang Jiho’s 60’s self?
The old guy glimpsed at Jang Namwook when he walked out.
He must’ve noticed that Jang Namwook saw through him.
‘He would’ve known that Jang Namwook was coming. If he wanted to hide himself, he would’ve forced Principal Hwangbo Yoon to stand there.’
Hwang Jiho likes Jang Namwook enough to engrave a magic spell on his glasses, so I guess there’s no problem.
Following the Chairman’s congratulatory speech, it was the students’ turn to deliver some words.
Of course, the student representative Yeom Junyeol gave one.
As Yeom Junyeol rose to the podium, cheers erupted here and there.
Since Christmas, Yeom Junyeol has become more confident thanks to the rapid increase in his power.
He’s becoming more popular thanks to that.
“First of all, I would like to thank everyone for coming to the Eungwang High Graduation Ceremony and shining a new start for our seniors.”
Yeom Junyeol’s speech began with words of gratitude.
He expressed respect for those who visited and his seniors who have led him.
Then came words of regret and a sense of sadness for sending off his seniors.
Courage was conveyed when he expressed his responsibility as the remaining junior and his determination for the future.
‘Yeom Junyeol’s speech was bright and energetic, but some people were crying.’
After listening to his words, I realized that the seniors really were leaving Eungwang High.
Tears spread among the graduates, and even some guests cried.
Most of them were families, but some from the Dragon Clan and Red Lion who were impressed by Yeom Junyeol’s confident appearance were also mixed with them.
Many couldn’t raise their heads even after Yeom Junyeol’s simple yet sincere words.
“Next, a valedictory speech from one of the graduates.”
In a gloomy atmosphere, Do Wonwoo climbed onto the Sangin Hall’s podium.

Thanks for the chapter.
There’s nothing much to comment about in this chapter… but
3-0 fellas aren’t even be considered human?? how harsh Sanghoon-ya. Euishin’s label for them is already harsh enough… the sunbae-jerks
they have pretty creative awards eh… how nice.
and please don’t confuse the naive Namwook more, I pity him… even now, he hasn’t connected the dots even though it was already so obvious
ps. I wonder what really happened between the three people: DWW, YSHe, YSHn

Thanks for the chapter, Ms. Translator! (・∀・)
Graduation… it’s rare to see these events in other stories, and it’s nice how peaceful and smooth everything is going. (*¯︶¯*) Good thing Class 3-0 didn’t plan to attack their homeroom teacher… at least not yet.
Nice chapter as always, and looking forward for more! \(^ヮ^)/

Thanks for the update! Euishin-ie better graduate I swear. I am sick and tired of MCs not graduating! Let Euishin have this, please. Well, I think seeing this graduation ceremony is a good sign. Hopefully, one day we can look back at this once Euishin and class zero have their own. Of course, that would be a very, very long time from now… After all, we only got here after almost 800 chapters. But I will hope with all my might. The author made Eungwang so lovable, they can’t just leave it!
