EX rank supporting role’s replay in a prestigious school - Chapter 784
After the long war, we arrived back at the Red Lion building.
Since Hwang Jiho also helped with the boundary, I felt less motion sick this time.
As soon as we arrived, I thought he’d say something like “How’s this body’s boundary skill?” but something unexpected came out of him.
“We’re leaving now.”
Doesn’t he want to greet the people first for the holiday and stay for a while to check what happened while we were gone?
However, the tigers were adamant.
“If we spend more time here, the shameless dragons will try to give strange things. Let’s go before I get more upset.”
“Ha, right, as far as the Tiger Clan’s temper is concerned. I wonder why you are so unhappy with the small presents. At least eat before you go.”
“You’ve been too influenced by Jeokho, Cheongryong.”
The tigers didn’t seem to like that I received presents at the Dragon Palace.
I think it’s a little wrong to call the palaces “small presents.”
At the end of the squabbles, we headed to the tiger’s mansion in an air limousine that Hwang Jiho called.
Kim Shinrok was silent the whole time, but after hopping on the air limousine, he spoke with a complex expression as he looked at Jeokho.
“I think I had an auditory hallucination during the transfer. I think it was your voice, Jeokho-nim.”
“You must’ve been very tired, son. The Dragon Clan bastards have a knack for exhausting another family’s son. Rest well once we get home.”
It’s probably not an auditory hallucination though.
But why is he still calling Jeokho “Jeokho-nim?”
Jeokho has been consistently calling him “my son,” but Kim Shinrok won’t change how he calls him.
Even though Nwiho can be summoned and can use energy wave links, I don’t think he’s confident yet to call Jeokho his father.
“Everyone worked hard. Happy New Year.”
Eunho welcomed us when we arrived at the modern-style annex.
As we headed to the living room, I noticed bowls with different Korean sweets and various holograms.
A pile of documents was stacked on the table, and between them was Hwang Yuho, Hwang Jiho’s young alter ego.
‘Why did he make Hwang Yuho work on such a fine holiday?’
Isn’t that child abuse?
Well, Hwang Yuho is over 5,000 years old, but I still don’t think this is right.
Just what kind of documents is he checking?
“This body is looking at a list of properties that I hold.”
Hwang Jiho, who was standing next to me, said so even without me verbally asking.
Why is he asking Hwang Yuho to do that?
“Why real estate?”
“I’m glad you asked. It’s to pick a present for you.”
I was dumbfounded and guilty.
Hwang Yuho was struggling because of this old man’s crazy idea!
“Yes, it’s the Dragon Palace, but its location is the worst. Even if the by-products generated in the Dragon Palace are pretty good, the process of collecting and selling them is cumbersome. I’ll give something that suits the Tiger Clan’s benefactor more. Of course, this body will shoulder all the taxes generated in the process of transferring ownership.”
“Keep it.”
I thought the alliance with the Dragon Clan would bring the two families closer, but why are they trying to compete with strange things?
If they’re going to compete, I wish they wouldn’t involve me in it.
I tried to ignore Hwang Jiho’s words, but I heard a voice that was difficult to disregard.
“Jo Euishin, why don’t you look at it first before you decide?”
The tone was the same, but the young Hwang Yuho’s voice made it difficult for me to remain composed.
How can I reject Hwang Yuho’s nice suggestion?
After a great deal of thought, I said,
“…I’ll look at it.”
“Yes, you should start by looking at the properties.”
I thought Eunho would at least try to stop this nonsense, but he just looked at the holograms with the list of real estate.
After sending the list to Hwang Jiho, Eunho offered us some tea.
It was red ginseng tea, good for recovering from fatigue and motion sickness.
“I heard from Hwangho-nim. The Dragon Clan is indebted to you again, Euishin hyung.”
“It’s not just the Dragon Clan.”
“Yes, I know. He must’ve thought of something for his playable character from the Oh Family. Still, the Dragon Clan is blessed again thanks to Euishin hyung’s actions.”
As Eunho said, I’ve thought of something for my playable character, Oh Hyeji.
She will be graduating soon.
People get more freedom once they graduate from high school, but it might be different for Oh Hyeji.
That’s considering her crazy family situation when they imprisoned her to prevent her from taking the CSAT.
There may have been cases where her family couldn’t touch her because she’s a student at Eungwang High, but the story will change once she graduates.
Unless she leaves everything behind and runs away like Oh Hyejung, I don’t know what’s going to happen to Oh Hyeji.
I want to use the contract with the four sea dragons and Oh Hyeji’s family to free her.
“You can leave little room for this body to intervene, but feel free to tell me if you need anything.”
“Tell us if you want to return the ‘gifts’ that they gave you.”
Other than that agenda, we talked about what happened at the Dragon Palace.
Hwang Jiho narrated most of it so there was nothing much for me to say except for the occasional affirmation.
“I’m relieved that no one got seriously hurt. We’ve been holding onto you for long. You should head back to the main house now. Shinsoo, Sanryeong, and the descendants are waiting.”
“Eunho, you should also go—”
“Let’s not cause chaos on a good day.”
“Those kids won’t think of your appearance as chaos.”
“If you want to force me to go, you’d have to fight Baekho hyungnim, Jeokho-nim. That’s where the chaos will be.”
It’s certain that Eunho doesn’t want to go.
Baekho-gun looked at Jeokho with cold eyes, conveying that he will respect Eunho’s will.
“If you care about Eunho, let’s take him to the main house together, Baekho.”
“I respect my brother’s decision.”
When Kim Shinrok anxiously looked at Baekho-gun and Jeokho, the latter was defeated.
It seems like the grandchildren won’t meet him this Lunar New Year.
* * *
After spending some holiday time at the main house, I was pushed to the guest room.
I checked my messages and saw that most of them replied to the scheduled message that I sent for the holiday.
[Hong Gyubin] You must’ve prepared a greeting while you are away. Happy New Year, Euishin-ah.
[Hong Gyubin] This holiday has been peaceful. Only these people come to work during the holidays!
[Hong Gyubin] I hope every day is like this Lunar New Year ^^!
Has there been a holiday recently that Hong Gyubin wasn’t working?
He seems happy though, so I guess it’s okay.
Considering this year’s scenarios and the Black Screen’s growing power, the association will be even more busy, so I think it’s better to take a break now.
I checked the other messages.
‘This jerk Yoo Sanghoon is still upset.’
Yoo Sanghoon seemed to be feeling worse as the graduation day approached.
I was annoyed at his short reply.
Regardless of Yoo Sanghoon’s mood, the graduation ceremony was just around the corner.
* * *
The day after we got back to the ground, February 14th, our class gathered for Dokgo Miro’s birthday.
I thought it would be difficult to meet since it was the last day of the holiday and Valentine’s Day, but a lot of us came together.
“Happy birthday, Miro-yah. I chose a cake without chocolate!”
“Thank you!”
Dokgo Miro was delighted to see the cherry cream cake.
Those born on Valentine’s Day are cursed to have chocolates and candy as their birthday gifts, and the same is true for Dokgo Miro.
When Kim Yuri consulted Dokgo Miro for her birthday party, she strongly asked for a “chocolate-free birthday.”
This fact has spread to her fans.
Thanks to that, GeumChanWangChan and Fansite Jung Haeon, who already prepared high-quality chocolates for her birthday event, prepared new gifts in a mess.
‘But Class 3-0’s vice president had no clue and eventually bought chocolates.’
Dokgo Miro was happy to receive it because it was a gift from a fan, but Class 2-0 condemned the Class 3-0 vice president, and the sunbae-jerks were visibly sad.
That senior gave a heartfelt apology with a haegeum performance and uploaded it to social media.
It was a bit much, but it became a hot topic because the performance elicited tears from the audience.
Of course, GeumChanWangChan criticized them again for playing such a sad song on Dokgo Miro’s birthday.
That minor incident happened, but I had a great time seeing my classmates’ faces after a while.
‘I couldn’t take care of the dormitory kids. I’m glad I got to see them on Dokgo Miro’s birthday.’
Dokgo Miro repeatedly thanked the kids for spending her birthday with her.
I think she’s been troubled by her vocal training lately, but I hope it works out well today.
With the end of the warm holiday, the busy week has begun again.
Since Kim Shinrok’s training has been completed and the Dragon Palace scenario has safely ended, it was time to prepare for the next event.
However, there has been no other business that I had to tend to lately.
“Come in, Dain-ah and Euishin-ah.”
Ahn Dain and I left the tiger mansion and went to the Sangin Hall where Yeom Junyeol greeted us.
Before the graduation ceremony, preliminary inspections and rehearsals were being conducted at the hall.
I wasn’t part of any autonomous organization, but I had no choice but to come here.
Today was the filming day for the next student ambassadors of Eungwang High.
“I’m sorry I couldn’t participate in the preparations for the graduation. I’ll join as soon as the shooting is over.”
“No, the promotional materials are also a big deal. I know it well since I’ve done them last year.”
As Ahn Dain said, we are here as the next ambassadors of Eungwang High.
While a professional photographer is on campus to take photos of how the preparations for the graduation is going, we will be filming for the school’s promotional materials.
‘The professional photographer meant a cumbersome security process with the school since he’s an outsider. Everyone’s busy since it’s the middle of the semester, but it can’t be helped since graduation day is coming.’
Ahn Dain and Yeom Junyeol were lost in thought while they checked the filming site around Sangin Hall.
It was in this hall that the entrance ceremony was held and I saw with my own eyes Joo Soohyuk and Ahn Dain.
It might be a coincidence, but Sangin Hall and Ahn Dain share the same Chinese character “-in” which means “tiger.”
‘Right, Ahn Dain had a tiger in her name. If I had noticed earlier, she would’ve met with the Tiger Clan sooner.’
In fact, the character “in” is an insoluble character, which is why it’s not commonly used in names.
That character refers to a tiger in Chinese, but there’s a myth that it’s not the one used in the 12 zodiac sign version in Korean because there are ghost myths attached to it.
Name is important in one’s innate destiny, but it’s unlikely that Ahn Dain’s “parents” were the ones who thought of that.
‘It’s a good thing that she got the tiger character in her name because of them though.’
Ahn Dain also liked her name for that reason, which is why she didn’t change it when she was adopted by the tigers.
Another reason was to not attract attention though.
“H-hi, Eushin-ah. Hi, Dain-ah…”
“Hi guys. Ah, Euishin-ah, thanks for the birthday greeting yesterday.”
Joo Soohyuk’s spiritless voice and Dokgo Miro’s bright greeting were heard at the same time.
Joo Soohyuk was keeping his distance, making it seem like he was forced to come here with Dokgo Miro.
I was looking at Ahn Dain while having thoughts about her name, but it seems like another misunderstanding has been caused.
He would’ve said hi to Ahn Dain right away, why is he acting like that?
Well, it’s my, no, it’s Hwang Jiho’s fault.
‘I have to do something!’
I had to be careful because everything would be ruined if I make a misstep in other people’s love affair.
I felt like Moon Saeron, who came to cover the graduation ceremony and the filming site of the new ambassadors, had her eyes wide open with murderous intent toward me.
While I changed to several Eungwang High uniforms (winter, summer, and gym), we started filming and I tried to think of what I should do.
Mediating Joo Soohyuk and Ahn Dain felt more difficult than preventing the Dragon Palace’s collapse.

Uh… lemme congratulate first for the big migration.
The comment will be on separate post.
WELL… CONGRATS FOR THE NEW HOME
AND WELCOME BACK.
I was waiting for the chapter all night yesterday
Old_Cat
Thanks for the chapter.
uhuh the line spaces is different now, eh…
Onto the chapter.
Just when I thought that hwangho relented for once… he actually commanded his other alter to search for a property for Euishin?? Just don’t want to lose even once, eh…
Is there a terms better suited than soft-hearted but more positive than shotacon-lolicon for Euishin?? Haha… even if he knew that the inside is an old man, as long as the outer appearance is kid-like he would tolerate it better… how sly, of Hwangho if he knew this fact.
-but oh, Olmu is still the number 1.
And then… the stupid romance drama begin again….
side note. When will rat boss ask Euishin to pay his debt??
Alley_Cat
Thanks for the update! Well, I certainly didn’t expect this. Is this why I kept having gateway issues yesterday? It might take a bit to get used to, but that’s okay. Though.. I looked last chapter and all our comments seem to be deleted… Is there any way to recover them? I’d like to keep them in my archive, at least… I wanted for my real life friends and family to see them when they caught up… And it would sad if all traces of those not commenting anymore were erased. Anyways, Soohyuk-ah is still upset? Romantic love is so troublesome.

Thanks for the chapter! And congrats on the move! I love the new site already
I wonder what house or houses Euishin will get in the end and how harsh Jeokho must have been swearing for Shinrok to convince himself it was an hallucination lol
